COVID 19 RESPONSE
During the 2020 lockdown Elastic Band Company responded swiftly to the needs of our customers by changing our product line to focus on elastic for making face masks.
- As part of our endevour to support our community of sewers, we donated 10 yards of elastic to every order placed.
- In addition Elastic Band Co. donated 2,000 yards of elastic to the following organizations, who were all desperately looking for elastic to support their local communities:
- Dayton Sewing Collaborative
- Brookville Sewing
- Sew Masks 4 Cincy
- Lastly, we set up a pick up point for sewers in our local community to pick up free elastic.

I'm the Director of the non-profit Dayton Sewing Collaborative; we have a large project underway making masks for healthcare and human services workers. The search for elastic had been challenging.... to say the least. That was until the Elastic Band Company reached out to us with a donation. The product is simply amazing and is perfect for face masks (around the ear or around the head styles). We've since purchased 10,000 yards of elastic and the Elastic Band Company is the only place we'll purchase elastic.....forever.
